Patch-Making Workshop (with Martha Carrillo)

Presented by Self Help Graphics

This program is part of the City of West Hollywood’s 2025 WeHo Pride Arts Festival taking place May 23-25. All events are free. Some events are ticketed, and free RSVPs are strongly encouraged - with ticket holders provided priority seating. Click HERE for all Arts Festival events.

Inspired by the long history of patches and buttons used in the LGBTQI+ rights movement, learn how to create custom fabric patches that can transform and upcycle your garments using a variety of materials such as sequins, fabric markers, embroidery floss, and more. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore creative techniques to craft unique designs that reflect themes of self-empowerment and self-expression. Each patch will be a personal piece of art, allowing everyone to tell their own story.

Friday: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Saturday: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Sunday: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

90 minutes, come and go as you please. Appropriate for all ages.
